This is a simple worksheet to help you determine parameters of your home give-away promotion. Based on the values you enter in the fields below, the worksheet will determine the minimum and recommended number of entries to meet your goals for the contest.


Estimated Property Payoff: Enter the estimated property payoff to include all financial liabilities associated to your property
Closing Costs & Fees: 6% is the industry default, but you can adjust this percentage as needed
Administration Fees: This is the standard GiveWithoutGiving.org administration fee
Non-Profit Revenue Share: This is the percentage of revenue share that will be awarded to the designated non-profit
Sub Total: This is the actual dollar value of your promotion based on the values you entered above
Price Per Ad-Block: This is the price you wish to charge per ad-block for your promotion
Minimum Number of Ad-Blocks: This is the minimum number of required ad-blocks to reach your goal at 100%
Adjusted Minimum Number of Ad-Blocks: This is the adjusted number of required ad-blocks to reach your goal at 100% rounded to next even number divisible by 10 (this number can not exceed 10,000)
Calculated Proposed Promotion Total:

This is the total calculated dollar value of your promotion based on the suggested number of ad-blocks

 

Field Descriptions/Reference

     
Estimated Property Payoff:   

The amount you enter in this field should represent the total financial liability attached to your property. This would include 1st and 2nd mortgages, home equity lines of credit, past due real estate taxes, etc.
 

Closing Costs & Fees:   

The percentage in this field represents the typical closing costs associated to a traditional real estate transaction (i.e buyer/seller fees, title fees, etc.). You can change this percentage if you think it should be higher or lower.
 

Administration Fees:   

GiveWithoutGiving.org retains a 5% administration fee to maintain operational status (i.e. credit card processing fees, development, hosting fees, etc.).
 

Non-Profit Revenue Share:   

It is a requirement of this program that each promotion designate a percentage of revenue share to one or more designated non-profits. The default is 10%, but you can adjust this percentage to your liking.
 

Sub Total:   

This value represents the actual dollar value of your promotion.

 

Contest Entry Fee:   

This is the amount you plan to charge per ad-block. This number will affect the minimum and adjusted number ad-blocks.
 

 Minimum Number of Ad-Blocks:   

This number should not exceed 10,000 entries.

 

Adjusted Minimum Number of Ad-Blocks:    This number should not exceed 10,000 entries.

 
Calculated Proposed Promotion Total:   

This is the calculated contest total based on the values you entered in this worksheet.
